These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the STEM Learning Platform (“Platform”), a digital educational service focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) courses. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. General Provisions

  • Eligibility: Users must be at least 13 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction) to create an account. Minors may use the Platform with parental consent.
  • Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities under your account.
  • Platform Ownership: The Platform and its content are owned by Opencave Technologies (“we,” “us,” or “our”). All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
  • Modifications: We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Curriculum

  • Content Overview: The Platform offers a comprehensive STEM curriculum covering topics such as Graphics Design, Web Development, Video Editing etc. Courses are designed for various skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
  • Curriculum Structure: Courses are organized into modules, lessons, and assessments. Each module includes video lectures, interactive simulations, quizzes, and projects. The curriculum is regularly updated to reflect current STEM advancements and educational standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Content is developed by qualified educators and subject matter experts. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee the curriculum’s suitability for all educational or professional needs.
  • User-Generated Content: Users may contribute to forums or projects, but all submissions must comply with our community guidelines, including prohibitions on plagiarism, harassment, or illegal content.

3. Course Access

  • Access Requirements: To access courses, you must create a free or paid account. Paid subscriptions unlock premium features, such as advanced courses or certificates.
  • Device Compatibility: Courses are accessible via web browsers, mobile apps, and supported devices.
  • Limitations: Access is granted on a non-exclusive, non-transferable basis. You may not share login credentials or download content for offline redistribution. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
  • Offline Access: Select courses allow offline viewing via our app, subject to download limits and expiration periods.

4. Timing

  • Course Duration: Individual courses vary in length, typically ranging from 4-12 weeks. Self-paced courses allow flexible completion, while instructor-led courses follow fixed schedules.
  • Access Period: Paid subscriptions provide access for the duration of the billing cycle (e.g., monthly or annually). Free accounts may have limited access windows or expiration dates.
  • Deadlines and Extensions: Quizzes and assignments have due dates. Extensions may be requested for valid reasons, at our discretion. Late submissions may affect progress tracking or certification.
  • Availability: Courses are available 24/7, except during scheduled maintenance (notified in advance). We aim for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
  • Refunds and Cancellations: Refunds for paid courses are available within [e.g., 30 days] if not accessed, subject to our refund policy.

5. Payment and Billing

  • Fees: Pricing for premium features is listed on the Platform. Payments are processed securely via Flutterwave.
  • Billing Cycle: Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled. You will be notified before renewal.

  • Restrictions: No copying, distributing, or modifying content without permission. Certificates earned are for personal use and may not be altered.

8. Liability and Disclaimers

  • Indemnification: You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes arising out of this agreement will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Federal High Court..
